Southwest Mountain Vineyards

Historic Walking Tour 11:30AM, 1:30PM & 3PM

This is a rare opportunity to tour the vineyards and stone ruins of Southwest Mountain Vineyards at Castalia in Keswick- now a 1,000 acre property that was owned by relatives of famed explorer Merriwether Lewis for much of the 18th and 19th centuries. 

Paul and Diane Manning purchased the property in 2013 and restored the 1903 barn –one of the largest pole barns still standing on the East Coast--which now serves as SMV’s tasting room

The historic walking tour begins at the vines closest to the tasting room and includes four guided stops at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3 p.m., featuring samples of Southwest Mountain Vineyards varietals.

Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes for the walk along hiking trails in the beautiful foothills of the Southwest Mountains.  This is not handicapped accessible.
